It’s easy to find affordable weekend getaways in Florida if you know how to find it. Florida is known to be the leading tourist destination attracting millions of visitors annually. This beautiful state has so much to offer for everyone of all ages. I’ve done some research to find you inexpensive places to go for a weekend to escape and relax. Let’s dive right in so you can plan your next trip!
Clearwater Beach
Clearwater Beach is known for its prestigious white sand beaches, soothing teal waters, and an abundance of things to do, shopping, and restaurants. This beach city is affordable, and you can find deals and discounts on accommodations on this website. There’s plenty of inexpensive/free things to do here in Clearwater, such as sunset celebrations, water sports, exploring Caladesi Island and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and so much more. This area of Florida is not only one of the cheapest beaches to visit in Florida, but it’s also one of the most popular among locals and visitors.
Marathon
Marathon is in the Florida Keys and is captivating to divers, fishers, and visitors who want a relaxing vacation in a small island town. The beach in Marathon has soft white sand beaches, clear, tranquil waters, and an abundance of colorful fish. Marathon is home to the Dolphin Research Center. Ocala is in north-central Florida and is known as the “horse country” in that region. Some things to do while staying here are visiting Silver Springs State Park, which is a national landmark that covers 350 acres and is also considered to be Florida’s original attraction. Other things you can do while visiting are Ziplining, Kayaking, Horseback riding, as well as visiting Ocala Fire Museum. There is a little bit for everyone when you come to visit. This beautiful place is truly a nature lovers dream.
Santa Rosa Beach
Santa Rosa Beach is tucked in the panhandle between Tallahassee and Pensacola. This beach stretches 26-miles and is one of the 16 beach neighborhoods in South Walton County. This area of Florida is on the Gulf Coast and is known for its picturesque natural beauty, the emerald beaches, and it’s traditional beach town charm.
